What year Ford?

    I have no idea so don't take this as fact but just looking at the chart above, the tail on the "d" looks fairly long, most like those shown 1957 and after.

    Using this site, it shows the long cross on the "F" being used before 1961 so my unknowing guess, 1957-1961

    In this and subsequent versions, the writing of "Ford" appears to be influenced by Henry Ford's own signature.

    1917–1927

    First use of an oval.

    1927–1957

    From the mid-1930s onward, use of this logo on the cars themselves was first deemphasized and then dropped entirely. A completely different "crest" logo appeared with the 1949 models.

    As of today, the 1957 logo (which serves its current "Ford" script logo) is only being used as an alternate logo. It can also be used in tandem with the next two logos below.

    I think these charts are for the main emblem on the car...not necessarily what you’re going to find on various trim parts and secondary emblems.

    Or their chosen “corporate” logo they would use on letterhead and the signage and whatnot.

    The "O" isn't under the curly bit of the "F" so 1912-1957.
