So I just got an incredible estate of a very prominent person who owned a chain of very popular national pizza restaurants. I can't disclose the name yet - but I believe I will be able to before the auction. The estate has some incredible Tiffany, Steuben etc and a LOT of very fine porcelain. I just catalogued a lovely incredible pair of Royal Vienna vases both hand painted with works after the artist John Everett Millais. Anyway, this 12.25 inch tall vase was on the same shelf displayed. It is lovely with the nude painted by Marz. My question is the mark. I can't seem to find a Bindenschild with crown? I remember seeing a gold mark on Rosenthal or Dresden? Also, the photo of the name in gilt is really difficult to see due to the glare but it looks like it says Klysti. Any one have any info? Thank you! I don't really collect anything like this or have any information from personal experience. I didn't find any of the "D" mark in Rontgen's but he does show several "gold" marks (blob like) that he says are decorator's marks covering the maker's mark of the porcelain.

I'm not sure any are the right shape for your leaf-like blob but here are what he shows.

I didn't know that certain decorating companies used specific gold blobs to cover manufacturer's names! Cool. Anyway, I think the "D" part of the decorator mark might refer to Dresden where there were many decorating companies that would buy/use blanks from porcelain manufacturers for decorating and then sale. From this style, I think late 19th, early 20th c.

These do not have the same mark but are also signed "Marz" and listed as 19th century

Edit: this one as well listed as circa 1900 so it looks like @kentworld was spot on with the time period.

Thank you! I went down the rabbit hole yesterday looking for any attribution to Marz and saw the ones referenced. I can't spend any more time trying to find the painting the work is after even with the title in gold. I think the decorator's mark is closest to Saxonian - Carl Thieme which the owners appear to have been found of. Oh well. I will be sure to link the auction when we are done. Really incredible eye candy!!! Thank you again for the help! There will be more questions coming I am sure!
