So, this thing is silver, so if it's a copy, it's decent. What say you?

    Hi Bear,
You near a Tiffany store? Take to one and asked to have it cleaned. If it is real they will clean and polish it for free. If it is a fake they will refuse to clean it. They can not say it is a fake or real. If it is real they will clean and polish it. I think I remember this bracelet has a lot of fakes but not sure.

Am I the only one who would balk at wearing a bracelet with the makers name plastered right on the front?

Nope, Messi, I don't like brand names showing on things, either.

    Hi,
I am anti-snob also. If they want me to advertise their name then pay me to do it. Damn if I'll pay for something with someone's name of it. the only exception might be this one.

Would you balk at wearing a scarf or carrying a bag that had Chanel or Yves St Laurent or Gucci logos for a pattern?

    Hi,
There is a difference betweeb a logo and a name. By the way I would NOT wear a scarf or carry a bag.:D:D:D:D:D:D heck I hated to carry a brief case with MY initials on it.

    I would indeed.
If they want me to advertise for them, they can damn well give me the stuff.

It bugs me that cars, appliances, and all sorts of devices have brand names permanently affixed. :cold:

A lot of my casual clothes have the makers label either on the side or in front. Same with jeans so I guess we are DOOMED to be walking billboards :cat::p:cool:

    Hi Johnny,
That is a photo of an Olympic swimmer from Britian. When I saw the logo I damn near peed myself.

    Hi Pat,
I had a coworker who leased her car from a company and paid extra for them not to put their name on the car. I year later she was getting her car repaired by a different company. Guess what? the second company drilled her car and put their name on it. She almost freaked. The second company denied doing it. Now she will have to pay to have it removed and the holes repaired when she returns it to the first company.

I absolutely love that bracelet and would wear it every day. My husband bought me a thin rose gold Tiffany wedding band with Tiffany & Co. on the front written in script two years ago for our anniversary (since I begged and nagged him to death). I wear that every day. I almost didn't get it- I didn't know they made this style, I looked in Aria's in Vegas at plain bands, then hubby and I were in a store in Bellagio? not sure, and they showed me that model, but I had to go back to Aria's for my size.

I may well keep it. I don't normally wear logo jewellery - can anyone explain PAndora to me? ;) - but I rather like this one.

Yeah - Pandora is all (schmaltzy) marketing - which is a shame really. They produce a quality product (in Thailand), with half decent designs, that has a certain appeal on a practical level. It is all 'modular", sort like the old Pop-Beads or the Add-A-Pearl necklaces from the 1940's-50's (or the current seller of carved pearls, Galatea). Almost any of Pandora's charms/beads can be worn on a bracelet or as earrings (they sell the bare wires in both 14k and 925) and they produce some rather nice 14k gold with diamonds as well as the sterling with cubic zirconia and some semi-precious stones. Of course there is a full line of matching pendants and finger rings. A string of imitators have sprouted up, Lori Bonn comes to mind first.

Its a shame that Pandora went so "middle class, mainstream" - they could have created a much better reputation for themselves. Which may be their plan - they have closed out a few hundred retailers in the USA (they are Swedish I believe) and have just started their own web business.

And NO - emphatically NO - I do not work for Pandora..................but I do handle a gazillion pounds of that stuff annually..............

Oops! Almost forgot my original intention - I wouldn't take it to the bank (vault) but in my opinion the Tiffany piece is real - but not worth a lot. I also handle a bunch of that stuff as well.
