Featured Fur Shoes (Not Boots) Tyrolean?

Found these interesting shoes for 5 euros today. They're made out of a short, coarse, very shiny fur, that I would think was fake if not for the balding areas where I can see the underlying leather. The soles appear to be rubber, so I imagine that they're later than 1890s. I believe the soles have nails in them, because some rust is bleeding through the inner soles. I haven't been able to find similar ones online. The best part? They're my size! (Unfortunately, one has the border of the sole beginning to draw away from the bottom of the sole. I wonder if there's a way to fix it.

Can you still sell these legally in North America? You can't overhere.

Urp. I didn't think about that when I bought them. I didn't know what kind of fur they were. Can I not bring them through customs?

Can these be goat or reindeer fur?

 

I don't know the laws up here in Canada....but sealskin items are readily available.... if'n ya know where to look !

There do seem to be some shoes made of reindeer that look similar fur-wise in the little bit of looking I've done.

but growing up in Montreal.....& being an avid weekend skier .... sealskin boots...belts....pouches....mitts.... were everywhere....in all shapes and sizes...

 

Just wondering if they "might be" reindeer. Hate to see them tossed.
