    I wonder if the type of wood used for the base could help determine where these are from?

    Having spent more time than I care to admit looking at all manner of bronzes, I'm left with "they look less unlike Dhokra style bronzes than any other bronzes I could find."

    What's the deal with the reservoirs on the ones on wood? Some seem to have been filled with metal (melted feet?) and others not. How are they attached to the bases?

    the 3 figures all have been filled with metal, the feet of the horse look to be inserted into the wood. No screws showing on the bases.
