Hi I have this Sword it's 72cm's has a carved wooden handle and wooden scabbard.
Wooden handle bound with copper band. Blade 33mm's at it's widest part and very sharp. Would love to upload photos but keeps telling me file to large. There must be a way but I'm not sure how ?

Just from your description, it may be a barong - a traditional knife in the Philippines. Try googling it and see if it is the same.

you didn't consider the size given, you concentrated on the handle alone.... which as I've shown would be a good call....if not for the blade size...

I also considered the wooden scabbard, which are typical, as illustrated by your example.
