Whoa. That's a bit too freaky for me. Are the boxes dated? (i.e. Have they been around for a while?)

I'll be interested to hear what you end up doing with those ashes...

I did not note any dates but there are cremation certificates with them, I'm nowhere near a quarter through so I might find more :D:rolleyes:
This woman hoarded bibles too, they are all over the place.
I've also found 7 Epson and HP printers up to now

Printers are one of the most difficult things to get rid of here

I just find myself thinking this has become one of the strangest conversations I think I've ever been a part of. I feel sad for the lady, and for her friends, if indeed they were and had no one to care for their remains. But I'm excited to see what Davey digs up next! Printers, ashes, jewelry, fleas and Bibles. And booze. Quite the mix.:woot::woot:

All King James? The Bibles that is. And maybe some Jamieson's to go with? If any of those are an original 1611 copy of the Authorized.... And if a Tyndale turns up....

Just about fell over when I saw this sweet piece the other day, Josephinenhutte glass:) When I went through the checkout the manager commented that 'finally someone is buying that', it had been in the store for a week. I suspect the price was the reason, folks are pretty tight with their money here, it was priced at $19.99:) It is 5 1/2"H x 7 1/2"Diameter

I hit a charity thrift this morning. Spent $38 total, and ought to get back at least twice that in scrap gold ... and managed to drop one cheap little earring when I pulled them out of the box to weight it. Earring went flying. (grrr) I'll have to shoot some pix of the non-scrap later.

    Great piece cxgirl. A bargain.

And put me down for a Tyndale bible as well. I'll build a room on the house for it.

After finding two safe keys yesterday I finally found one safe in a rear bedroom, I was stood on it, the junk is so high and dense I'd climbed over it a few times.:D

Only thing is neither key fits the safe:eek:

I will have to wait until I finish the job and hopefully find another key or I will cut the back off.

The safe does contain paper because I can feel it falling around when I upturn the safe.

    I hope its wads of £50 's

Today's haul is a 9k gold watch case, pair of sterling earrings, a sterling Kiwi pin, a sterling silver trophy cup.

A sterling salt and matching mustard with blue liners.

    A precision technical drawing set.

Another papier mache collection box in the shape of a lifeboat.

Also 4 crates of unsorted interesting stuff now at my lock-up:D

We will have to wait, there may be other safes, there may be other keys. :D

The safe is now at my home, a steel cutting grinder lays next to it. :D

I get a large skip / dumpster delivered tomorrow which will allow me to remove lots of junk so I can make room to search for good stuff.

I also found a mahogany barley twist table, some church cloths, alter covers (I'll ask later because I don't have a clue)
Lots of 50's-60's die cast toys, ships, tanks, artillery canons, model boats.
Brand new still boxed Asus Zenpad Tablet, toaster, kettle.
I found a 50's top loader washing machine in the centre of one bedroom buried under boxes and clothes.
It was filled with printed church paper work.:hilarious::hilarious::hilarious::hilarious:
