Carved Jade Chinese Statue

Help again please
another Asian item from same house call. Chinese, Japanese, new, old, does it have a special name. I have two, they are similar, both are ladies, but holding different items.
The original owner purchased some things from Ming in Hawaii in the 1960s. Could this be from there.
7 in. tall sits on wooden base, base # A2127, 729.
You were all helpful with the Chinese vase. It is now up for auction on ebay. Doing better that I thought considering the big chip.

 

Do you have any paperwork (receipt, box, etc..) from the former owner stating the items were purchased at Ming's or was it word of mouth?

I ask because... Ming's retailed some very fine, high quality items before their closing in 1999 and have their own following of collectors:

I had one jade pendant in a Ming's box. It sold very well. I have a receipt for a green jade bracelet and pair of earrings. I have two of these carved statues but no box and no receipt. The lady made one trip to Hawaii so I think she probably purchased these there but no proof. Thanks for the Link.
