The sphinx part seems to be in alabaster and the female figure possibly in a different stone. The photo is not great, to put it mildly, but I think you can see the encrusted stones in the woman's head dress.
    Thanks for any input

What a production! What part lights up? Hard to imagine there's nothing anywhere to indicate maker. Can easily imagine it's not so easy to check the bottom.

Think it's same as INH's, just from a different angle. Sorry. Just realized you meant specimen, not model.

Just playing around with image search (no name) to see what turned up.

    From the original auction house.

I thought at first that you had found a third lamp of this type, then quickly realized it was the same one INH found, just a different view. I apologized because I construed your 'Here's another' as meaning here's another photo of the one INH showed just above, as indicating you were already aware they were the same. It's the wee hours here, can't think what word would have served my meaning better. 'Example' doesn't quite get it either. Where's German when you need it?!

And now realize "Gesundheit" does not mean "Bless you!"

    So we're even @Bronwen

I'm not home with my photo editing program, but would like to see this punched up to make the signature (signature on the lamp with the seated girl shown above) as visible as possible. It's scratched in very faintly & there's every possibility auctioneer misread it. We could be spinning our wheels looking for 'Sarchi' (what kind of name would that be?)

We may also be spinning our wheels researching this; we have more interest in it that OP does.

Sorry, are we looking at the mark on the op's lamp? They never posted detailed photos.

So far... I think it's nicer than the sold piece, though, so I'm still curious

Agree on both. That's why we need to try to make sure about the name. It's just not in the realm of probability that his/her work was not fairly well known & there must be a number of others out there. Maybe not on the market that often, but then you would think one would fetch more than 750.
