These figures are about 4" tall, made of wax and painted. They are marked on the bottom Made in Western Germany. Have you seen these before?

I haven't seen Little Red Riding Hood and the Wolf before.

In my B&M, I have four Monks/Friars in different poses, sitting, standing. Can't remember what they are doing or if they have beer steins. Mine are a dark brown wax - not painted. The wax must be quite durable, as we get some pretty warm weather. During summer, it can be 85 degrees in the store when I first get there, before I turn the air on.

I have had them for a long time with no interest ever shown toward them.

Since you have Fairy Tale Figures you might do better.

are you sure that they are wax and not elastoline or plastoline ?

When I scrape my fingernail along the bottom I get thin little shavings - does that happen with elastoline or plastoline?

Just out of curiosity, do either of you happen to know WHY candles are made of animals, people, houses, nuns, skiers, etc., etc ad nauseum, with the wick coming out of the head? I remember being given a pink sitting-up bunny one Easter, and some hateable soul lit it for me. Now why would a child, or Anyone, want to watch the death struggles of a pink bunny?

I've seen wax figures done as air fresheners. Do yours have any trace of scent? Figures made of brown wax are probably bees wax, also used as an air freshener.

I've tried selling these things, candles or otherwise, without much success.
