Dagger1.jpg Ok, anyone have a clue on the old dagger? Looks Hand made to me, can't find any marking on it anywhere. It’s about 17 1/2 inches long, the handle appears to be made of horn, sheath is steel, blade is not sharp.

Philippines First Republic period (1899–1901) for the one shown below........or thereabouts.( I'm thinking yours is later.....but with no certainty..) A strong Spanish influence in the hilt, as noted previously. This one could be Ilocano or from Central Luzon

Philippines could make sense with those wild Kris-influenced curves (but it's not what I'd call a Keris/Kris),or as Roaring posted an Italian Flamberge Blade Dagger.
AJ would know more re the Kris speculation.

It’s looks pretty sharp as a stabber. Maybe not as a slasher. Would create a pretty nasty wound if stabbed by it.

It looks like a European flambard or flammard to me, the blades of Filipino kalis-derived daggers look wider to me.
Flambards are often called flamberge, but the original flamberge or Durendal, the legendary sword of Roland, was a straight sword.
The flammard or flambard has nothing to do with Durendal or Roland, it is the correct term for wavy swords and daggers that originated in the German lands and Low Countries.

Just to be sure, tagging Filipino kalis aficionado @Firemandk .:)

    That's right, stabbing, not slashing.

Thanks for all the great info! I just picked this up at a flea market last weekend. I had seen one like this before!
