I was lucky enough to find this lovely necklace in the bargain bin!
Please can anyone help me with the hallmark?
The G - is that likely to be the year or is it linked with the small o and it’s the maker?
Putting my neck on the line is this victorian or a bit later?. The links are incredibly intricate and beautifully crafted.
    Thanks as always :) 72B1BEF3-23FB-4F5E-AA0C-43B57E63317C.jpeg D36E8846-94FD-4474-963F-4B84CD91B195.jpeg 7F9ECEFE-6893-4300-A14D-72F4F708FE23.jpeg 4EEF7014-5687-477B-AD4D-B0D56352CA91.jpeg E10A3CAD-8705-4785-93B9-4909C52FB9DB.jpeg

I'm not sure the little piece with the marks is original to the rest of the piece, which looks like 'ethnic' jewellery to me.

Not really the same, but yours immediately put me in mind of this necklace & bracelet that came as part of an English auction lot. I have been assuming Indian.

It did occur to me they may be a marriage. It all tests as silver and there is a 925 on the spring ring.

The sterling spring ring may also be an addition. My necklace has a hook & eye type clasp & I can imagine someone wanting something more secure. Think 800 silver will also pass a home silver test, does not guarantee 925. Yours may be everything you hope, but also could be the case findings are misleading.

My necklace has little hearts; the bracelet has hearts, clubs & spades; all the diamonds seem to be on your necklace. :)

Lol, I think all I was hoping for was something of interest which it has already proved to be!. At £1 it was never going to be a great loss but I am still intrigued by the hallmark even if it doesn't belong as I can't find anything that looks similar.
It is in the keep and possibly wear hoard so it's all fine :)

Well spotted but it's just a scratch.

Yes, it is Indian, and really nice, KSW. From the Western part of India somewhere, where they have close ties to the Middle East. Some details are almost interchangeable with details on Yemeni jewellery, but this is definitely Indian. My guess is Rajasthan, NW India.
Some Indian makers have been adding those tags since the 1970s-80s, copying the Western fad for jewellery tags.

Which would explain why I can’t find the maker listed anywhere.
It may not be what I first thought ( that’s the last time I take an uneducated guess :hilarious:) but I like it which is my current best reason for buying things. Think I’ll stay away from the big buck items until I know what I’m looking at though :). Love this forum though because no one makes you feel like a fool even if you get it wrong . Thanks everyone:)
