    Hi All,
Okay, I'm trying to figure out if there is a name for this piece. I'm assuming for a man with the stud button holder on the one end.
Overall length is 12 3/4" x 6", the 2 centre pocket/sections can expand to 2" - maybe one for socks? 2 pockets on each end of the bottom section, on the top section there is the button holder but no idea what the other section would be used for.
This is marked 'Made In England London Birks Leather'
    any ideas on the initials?
    Any information appreciated.
I'll split the photos over 2 posts
    Thanks for looking:)

That one section looks like a CD holder. Would a CD fit in it? If so, it's not too old.

To me the initials look like LWC or something like that. Years ago I worked in a men's clothing store and monogrammed leather items were very popular.

And to answer the question I hadn't asked but wondered about, CDs first came out in 1982. How time flies:)

    a CD holder.....that's Funny !!!
specially since two studs are still present and you can see the way they get placed in the center hole and then slid to the outer ring to be held securely in place..

thanks for all the replies folks:)
Great, I can see 'LWC' for the initials.
SIS, not for CD's, you can see how it holds little buttons in place:)
I haven't seen one before either Shangas:)

I have...but that was back in the 70's when I started out in Menswear...
    & it was older then......
My fathers father had his name in gold leaf on his travel wallet....& I was gifted one with my initials on it too.
In it's heyday , Birks did fine leather mens products.

Yes, I remember my brother getting a wallet with his initials, not sure if people give gifts like that anymore.
I think this one has some age to it, with the stud buttons I would think early 20th century?

Totally serious actually:). DH had all sorts of fancy carrying cases for the professional travelling gear.

I do see the studs but didn't know if they were placed properly. Back in the 70s we also rented tuxedos which always came with shirt studs.;) Don't know if they do these days.
