I am helping a friend identify her antique fruit knife & fork set. I have been able to identify the makers mark as Allen & Darwin. This being said, there are no marks other than A&D S. I'm struggling to determine the timeframe they were made. Also, the knife has a distinct pattern that I have not been able to find. If anyone can help me, that would be great!
Please let me know if you would like more pics.

The 925-1000 site lists them as being in business from 1879 - 1922.

Going by the shapes of the blade and the tines, I would guess after 1900, but that's just a guess.

Thank you for your replies! I've been able to determine when Allen & Darwin were in business together, but I believe you can determine earlier designs vs later designs based on the maker mark. The maker mark on the knives has only the A&D S. Other blades I've seen have other marks, as well.
I didn't know you can determine when something was made based on the shape of the blade and the fork tines. Will look into that further. Yes, the handles are mother-of-pearl.

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

The knife blade pattern is gorgeous! I forget what those leaves are called. Have seen them before in designs... Oh, well. :)

I don't think that's what this pattern is, although it's probably what I was thinking of! Thank you! ;):)
