I picked up this really nice large turkey size ironstone platter the other day. It is decorated with pink & white flowers - cherry or apple blossoms? It is 18 1/4" by 12 1/2" across. The only things on the bottom are these impressed numbers & letters "TK" "34" "0". It does have an unusual raised design in the center which I am assuming is like the raised rings we see on porcelain bowls sometimes which have a function during firing.

Thanks for any & all opinions or advice!!:kiss::kiss:

I think it may be neither: that's very reminiscent of much 19th C Austrian and German stuff.

I saw something about the TK
mark being Thun mostly imported to America. But I can’t verify that.

I did a search for Thun platters & saw several large platters that had this same raise design on the back.

    Thanks again!!

That makes sense, given the geography.

Thanks, I’m actually a transplant from N. Y. It was culture shock, but I’m happy here now. :)
Many of the farms are being sold to developers.

I've lived in VA most of my life, my dad didn't want to be a farmer. I don't imagine there are too many farms going to developers out where they were from. Not much happening there other than farming.

Good, because it’s getting overdeveloped and crowded where I am.
