    Since I literally have never put salt on anything, yes...this is true...I taste plenty of it in everything. :)

    S&P shakers fer shure, But...They would certainly be useful for the hat pins of the 30's and 40's. The long pins of the Flora Dora ladies would need the tall holders of course.

    I like them because a)they're Hutschenreuther and b) someone painted them by hand. For anyone interested, I've found cases where the antique stick pin clutch was worth more than the pin it was on. The pins seem to be everywhere, but those darned fasteners always vanished.

    Goodness, YES! I was just joshing you - I made that cat LOL for my sister to twig her for something she said to me.
    I love stickpins, that is why I am jealous. And that is a very, very, nice one.

    Speaking "lots of holes," my other buy at yesterday's rummage sale. A pair of handpainted (and signed) but unmarked shakers with 19 holes on the top of each.
