Native carving with no info

    I bought this piece at a sale. I know nothing about it so any info would be appreciated. It does have two marks an x on the bottom and 300 written in pencil.

    I would guess it is carved of gypsum.

    It looks to be from the Southwest USA .
    That's a Hopi Katsina face on the back side.
