Featured How would you describe these small greenish? Asian vases?

    I just had to get them they were priced right and just had a special look to them, but I know they have a name for the color, I think? And can not think of it. Also by the characters on the bottom where does it look like these might have originated? Bonus points if you know what they say lol. I appreciate any info you can give me on them TIA!

    nope...just pulled one off the web that looked like yours..........
    But finding it that quick...and that crackle glaze ....makes me think twice about it's age...and origin........:sorry:

    I'm seeing the other shape and pattern on Amazon, oh well no age but I still like them.

    Koreans don't have sake. And they get rather upset at the suggestion they are Japanese.:nailbiting: The Korean relative of sake would be soju, which is not served in celadon vases.;)

    Those are typical Korean celadon. The cracked glaze is a combination of effect of thermal expansion/shrinkage, interface adhesion, and glaze internal stress. It happens on particular type of glaze, starts as soon as the vase is out of oven and could last for many years.
