Use a little silver polish to clean up the mark. It will be easier to read.
Actually clean the whole thing. If it is silver plated, the pits will show up.

    Definitely clean it.

Looking at what is most likely the mark, I could make a case for it being German 800 silver, but that could also be my eyes playing tricks on my brain. ;)

Then it would be two sets of brains making the same mistake; it looks like an 800 mark from here too.

I can see a crown and 800, badly rubbed, and the whole in need of cleaning. So probably German Empire, 1880ish to early 20th C ish. Roughly.

I see the German crown and 800 too. So .800 silver fineness (80% silver), any time after 1888.
It is very nice, with that heavy German look. It will look stunning after a clean.

I see that too. However, I also see a green spot.

Aquitaine Is What It IS! But NEVER BORED!

Regardless, once polished, it should shine like a baby's bottom!!!!!!! BEAUTIFUL!!!!!

It's 80% silver and 20% "other", so odds are there's a decent amount of copper in it. The green could also be transfer from a piece of silverplate, brass or whatever.

True. 800 silver often develops verdigris. Even higher finenesses can as well.
And contact with the metals you mentioned of course.:(
