  1. I really am just interested in ideas on ways to do more searching on the individuals. Really not interested in trying to detail about my purchase. I don’t think that’s relevant. Not sure why it was brought up, and I regret showing images of the locket as I feel like it’s only made individuals go off on tangents.

  2. I am perfectly fine doing my own searches. If you read the thread I asked for ideas on direction so that I could do just that. Anyone who’s been helpful in giving ideas I have been grateful to, as I may not have thought of it and it helps me look. I don’t appreciate people who are jealous who want to go and search the purchase history of an item I purchased just because they either 1) can’t afford it, or 2) Just jealous they don’t have it. Saying things like “I’m confused” is just a cop out for jealous people to be condescending. If you don’t want to help, that is completely fine, but you also don’t need to try to come on here to try to chastise me about my purchase because you’re jealous.

Looks like you missing an education on the production of jewelry.Jewelry has been mass produced for centuries,Modern jewelry has been processed using machines since before 1860. See link and video in this thread.... https://www.antiquers.com/threads/age-origins-victorian-ruby-ring.75052/

  4. Wow maybe you need the history lesson. This piece wasn’t made by machine and there is clear history of particular jewelry houses not mass producing jewels. Mass producing meaning making the same item over and over. If this was the case there would be several of these lockets. Several of the same pieces during that time period. Meaning more than just 2. You’d have 10 +. Like I said. If you have nothing to add to help me search please just stop jumping on the post to just be rude. I rather just start to ignore you guys and stop you from commenting or report you just so the thread can have people really interested in giving ideas that I can actually look into instead of trying to hear someone with no real help try to tell me something that is clearly not true. Smh ‍♀️

It seems to me that this guy is very similar to yours. Then you can search around the city.

  6. Thank you! This is helpful. I searched through a lot of these photos and now will speculate that the image of the child is a girl, not a boy. Young children images I did see on there, boys had a very similar look to adult men as far as hair style. The back of this image was dated 1872

again, you chose to put this in the JEWELRY forum, where people talk about jewelry….then you get irritated when people talk about jewelry.

Now you’re calling people jealous? She was trying to find similar lockets to HELP with your request and found the identical piece with the photos that had paperwork….How is that NOT relevant?

perhaps there’s a Random Victorian Photo ID forum at Ancestry.com or 23&me?

speaking of researching, I looked at your profile and found the only other thread that you posted here. Not surprisingly, it went downhill quickly and a moderator had to get involved, delete your posts and warn you about making personal attacks

Searching through photos of international royals shouldn't be too difficult. Looking for a non-royal wealthy family means searching through thousands of families in Europe, or of European descent elsewhere. A needle in a haystack.
I hope Boucheron comes up with someone, otherwise you'll probably never know.

The Boucheron certificate says 'à partire de 1902', so from 1902 (and later), not 1880.

You are making a lot of assumptions and accusations there.
Do you have anything to back the allegation of jealousy up? I haven't seen any proof, only people trying to help.

Or are you simply frustrated that people here have their own ways of trying to get to the bottom of things, in order to help you, and are asking questions you'd rather not hear? Lashing out at them is your gratitude. That, and resorting to the false accusation of jealousy, lacks class, imo.

What people do here is independent research, which can take many routes, including ones you may not like. Take it or leave it.

Wow, thanks for the link @JewelryPicker .
Antique shopper clearly has form, so much so that a Mod had to intervene twice in the very first thread.:jawdrop: I don't think that has ever happened before.
So a history of cheap personal attacks, general aggression. Great start, and first prize for continuing the trend.

I am sooo jealous of that track record.:hilarious:

    Err, No.
I was about to write a great long paragraph as to why but I can’t be bothered with you after everyone made a valiant effort to help you and so rudely got it thrown back in their faces.

  13. Hey- don’t. I rather you not. Anyone who actually did care to help I actually said thank you. But I guess you missed those right? Try reading the entire thread. Not just those you want. Thanks. Will also just ignore you too.

  14. Read the thread. I ask for direction. This wasn’t me asking to disclose any info on purchase! Then Debra kept going in about purchase and asking were I bought it. Etc all irrelevant questions to the post. If she wasn’t trying to be condescending then she missed the mark. By the way that bracelet ended up being Found to be Carlo weingrill in the end more research had to be done and a better way had to be used to identify the stamp. But yes thanks for being that person who stays ON TOPIC? Why are you here any way? It’s like at the end of the day you really have no interest in being helpful you just want to stir things up. I’ll just have to start reporting you guys.

  15. At some point you get tired of people just being rude. Read the thread. Those who want help did. Those who stay on topic and not accuse me of an thing are helpful. Are appreciated. I’m not going to apologize for calling people out who are jealous. You definitely by all means can defend their poor behavior and try to gaslight me. Not fazed. Just going to report you. Thanks
