Any ideas on this linen? Coat of arms? Possible age?

Arms of the four provinces of Ireland: Connacht, Leinster, Munster and Ulster. Since price tag machine printed, rather than handwritten, not going to be old old. And original retail price surprisingly low.

Tough to know for certain without much closer photos of corners, but to me it looks like chemical/Schiffli lace attached to a linen ground.

Is it folded? Can't quite sort out the "cross" where it looks like the linen is doubled over. What are the dimensions?

Yes it is folded and pinned to black paper.. I don't want to unpin it, but I did take it out of package. last pic is the back..

Definitely chemical/Schiffli lace. Most likely a Schiffli machine also did the embroidery. Without knowing the dimensions, it's really tough to guess the purpose. What is the size while folded?

    approx 10" it is 8" and the fold is 1" × 2

At that size, I think the design works equally well as handkerchief or doily.

Though I would use it as doily.

    Tourist souvenirs.
I get lots of it, at the bottom of drawers, unopened in old ladies houses.

Whatever its actual purpoise, I'd use it to wrap the muffins -- shows off the corners that way. :)

We went to decimal pricing in 1971 and bar codes in the early 80s or so. So, I'd think this is 1970s. Price is about right for then.
