Way back I collected silver mesh purses and bags (bought all blackened, one by one, for cheap at the flea markets:happy:). The only way to enjoy them was to pin them on my bedroom wall above my fireplace. As collection grew the scenary was more and more decorative.
Only problem was to wash them with silver foam twice a year:D
Now I contaminated you with the idea.... Go hunting for more!:joyful:

I sell quite a few of these 1920s-30s mesh purses - when I can get them in good condition! I get 2 kinds of buyers, ones who want to know if their phone will fit in it, and yes, they try. They want to buy it to use. The other kind of buyer buys them for display. They hang them like artwork, some have multiples and make an arrangement on their wall Like Kyra :)

Sounds fabulous. What a wonderful idea. Any photos we can enjoy? Silver foam? Is this some kind of silver wash?

Very interesting. They have a ton of beaded bags, etc and this shop, but I can't tell the difference. This was so unusual that I knew it could be special. Now that I think about it I have seen the silver mesh ones there before. Now I will know when I look.

I don't think I still have those old paper photos...:arghh:
    But I'll have a look:)
Yes, from memory it was Hagerty's, with a sponge. Of course I rather used a soft brush and rinse after!

I understand I have 20 boxes of old photos. They are catalogued but only generally. I'd have to look through a couple hundred photos in each.

Appreciate the Hagerty's reference. Also looking for ways to clean up my stuff.

Wright's Silver Cream is also a good choice, also a foaming silver polish :)

    I wondered that, too.
THIS Hagerty's video on Amazon's website shows a product that looks just like Wright's.

Thanks for the follow up. It looks like Wrights but maybe darker so different formulation. Makes it look so easy. :)

Hm. I like Hagerty's but since when is tarnish red? There's something very odd about that video. I would also not recommend circular "scrubbing."

    I do like Wright's better. ;)

So more of this in the Haggerty product? Which do you like for silver jewelry?

I use my trusty ultrasound and Sunshine cloths. I did buy the filthiest silver bangle ON THE PLANET today. It's had what my mama would have called a scurryfunge with a microfibre cloth. It will then be done with Duraglit - do you guys get that? It's a heavily impregnated wadding. I use Goddards silver foam sometimes.

I checked and couldn't find a seller of Duragilt on this side of the pond. I found a Brasso product calling itself Duragilt.

Amazon.com: Duraglit Metal Cleaner 2.6oz (Silvo, Brasso) : Health & Household
