    Hi,

I have bought this unfortunately there wasn't saucer. Actually even I am not sure if this a cup or jug for gravy.

Also there is a mark underneath I would like to get more information about maker and date please.

    Thank you so much for your help x 315520120_2131237933730352_8598927496383308994_n.jpg 316868244_2281288895397332_3076980320296685888_n.jpg 316831083_933826307599492_5828277865157892241_n.jpg 316871467_903449660808317_1866436041966298648_n.jpg 317056782_479828994140104_5643090898779516913_n.jpg 316766377_662074075446819_7004856327034753609_n.jpg 316989319_1110254753008640_1963848662974623072_n.jpg

It does not look suited to either drinking or pouring out of. More like an open sugar bowl. Someone will come along with a better idea. Pretty thing.

Yes, pretty little thing and quite an unusual shape.

Too small for sugar at that age. Master salt probably.

I'd think a bit tiny for that purpose. Here's the dimensions of an antique French one in the Getty collection for comparison.

    9.8 × 19.7 × 11.7 cm (3 7/8 × 7 3/4 × 4 5/8 in.)

It would be a bit tricky peeing in that little one!

Japanese, I think, so 20th c. Also some sort of creamer or sauce boat.
