    About 3 1/2" high.
I thought these would be easy to research. I can't find anything like them when searching casters. Are they something else? The wheels are wood. Thanks for your time.:cat:

Those are GREAT!!! :) Can't imagine for a tub but a fancy iron bed sure. Possibly furniture. Never seen these before. I would've bought them. :)

Thanks KingofThings! I think they are pretty cool too.:)
I should have also mentioned that there are only 2 of them. I don't know if there was originally 4 and 2 are missing, or if there was only 2 to begin with?
The man I got them from thought they might have been for the front of a furniture piece, like an armoire or something, but he didn't really know either.

Ah! 'Fancy' ones for the front makes sense to me.

    Hi,
Bet there were more but those wooden rollers had a habit of spliting in half. They only went back and forth no swiveling. Could have been on the headboard of a bed,
you could lift the bottom and pull it away from the wall and back.

They have a pin all the way through and a shoulder above the 'skirt'. I think they do, or did, swivel... The skirt fit into something and didn't swivel.

Thanks Greg & Kingofthings!:):) Much appreciated.
I tried to see if they would swivel, but it's only moving about a quarter of an inch either way. Could be because they are old and rusty? So I'm not sure if they swiveled or not? But there are some little rusty ball bearings between the skirt and the bottom circular ledge of the post. So maybe that means they did swivel at one time.
Wish I could find something similar to these. I want to list them, but afraid they will just get lost in a sea of casters. I think they are unusual, but wouldn't know what keywords to use for better attention? I've been looking at old furniture, and still haven't found anything yet that's close.

Yes. If they have bearings they swivel. First I would work them by hand on their sides so stuff will fall out. If you get them going then fine. If not you may have to whack them a little to break it loose but not too hard. Use a wooden object to hit them with or against. If you have any wood skewers or round toothpicks you may be able to poke around in them to loosen stuff. You could flush them out with WD-40 but I would do it so it doesn't get on the paint.
Someone is missing these somewhere and needs them. :)
How about> 'Vintage cast iron casters with decorative skirts & wooden wheels' ?

That's better than forcing them....my can came with a long fine tube for direct placement of the spray.

Thanks so much kingofthings & komokwa.:):)
I'll give the spray a try later this afternoon.
That's a good description kingofthings, thanks again.

Do they have any "play" in them up & down? Could the "skirt" have been meant to serve as solid "foot" when weight was on the item, but let it roll when empty?

Thanks Elarnia! No there isn't any up & down play, the wheels are fixed.
Your question helped me figure out something!!:)
The center of each post (for lack of a better word) is fixed in place. Only the outer part of each post swivels (or use to swivel).
