Thanks for the "Bird" part. Seems like the artist is Alfred Birdsay who specialized in paintings of Bermuda.

Cool! Glad you were able to decipher it. Bermuda is my favorite place in the whole world by the way...the most beautiful island with the nicest people. I went there on my honeymoon! Wish I were there now.

Love Bermuda, 21 visits. I used to go for the weekends. I was living in Manhattan and flying to Bermuda was 95 mins. Driving to the Jersey shore was 3 hours. It was cheaper in the long run. The secret, I stayed at a bed and breakfast in Hamilton. The woman who ran the place had a husband who was the general manager of one of the big expensive hotels. I had all the ementies of the hotel without the expense. B&B was 60 bucks a night. The hotel was 425 dollars. Now you have made me
"itching" to go back. It's been five years.

You've got to tell me the name of the Bed and Breakfast, greg! We stayed at Elbow Beach...shared the beach with Adam Sandler and his wife. Next time I would stay at the Southhampton, because you can swim with the dolphins there.

 

Another Bermuda fan here. There is (was?) a restaurant on the second floor of a building overlooking Hamilton Street. The served the BEST frogs legs in the world, and they don't get cross when everyone leaves his table to go watch a parade go by.

Indeed, Alfred Birdsey. He did a lot of paintings like this but prints as well. Based on what I can see, this looks like a painting but impossible to tell for sure from a photo. The paintings do pretty well on ebay for tourist paintings and for as many as there are out there.

 

Grotto Bay Beach Resort. Love the grotto. It's a bit outside of town, closer to St. Georges, but when the cruise ships come in you aren't swarming with tourists.
