It most likely a modern piece made by a hobbyist with molds.

I would call her a Fairy rather than a Pixie.

I've not seen a fairy yet.

Is Tink a pixie or a fairy?

Another vote for fairy. The original book called Tinker Bell a fairy/faerie. The 1950s movie called her a pixie. To me this doesn't look like Disney's Tinker Bell. I think Pixies seem to be mischievous while fairies more do-gooders.

Pah. J M Barrie had her as a faerie. ;) Bloody Disney corruption!

This almost looks like one of those molds where you paint the unfinished form. I know someone mentioned molds, that is what I'm thinking, too. Some companies sell things like this ready to go --all you do is paint.

Photos can be misleading --if it was a craft mold it would be kind of a heavier plaster feel. If it is a fine bisque, might be something different all together.

(And one more vote for "fairy"!)

Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, the author/creator of Sherlock Holmes, believed in fairies.
    Really.

I refuse to be drawn into a discussion on fairies.............too many opportunities for me to be obnoxious...............
