What do you think? Is a real Rolex with diamonds or a replica (oyster perpetual)

    Hi,
Check the second hand, if it sweeps around it is real if it checks while going around it is a fake. If it hesitates for a split second it is a fake. Fastest way to tell. A long time expert on watches taught me that.

This wasn't meant to fool anyone at all; Rolex doesn't make quartz watches.

With respect around here always, Rolex has absolutely made quartz watches. They’re called oysterquartz-I owned one many years ago although I now own a midsize mechanical. I have never seen a bezel like that one and I’ve never seen one that wasn’t marked oysterquartz.

Agree it’s fake but not because it’s quartz.

Revising. I just learned that there were early oysterquartz watches that were only marked quartz. Didn’t know this although I owned an oysterquartz as stated. Everything about the watch looks wrong to me and the print on the bottom makes no sense but just to be sure you can test it for gold and diamonds but can’t imagine that it’s real. I called fake on the “quartz”, the bezel, and the bottom text but I’m wrong about the quartz. They did exist prior to oysterquartz.Font also looks off on the “Rolex”.

Just to clarify, material tells all. Rolex only works in stainless, gold and platinum. No one would fake a quartz Rolex in real gold.
