I'd say on the later end, depending on how long the part is that actually goes around your neck. The rule with costume pieces is generally the shorter it is the older it is. Chokers from the 30s can be a whopping 13 inches. If it's 16-18 it's probably late 60s or a hair later.

Those black ones look like Italian-made trade beads to me. If those red ones don't weigh much amber is likely. They might be Islamic prayer beads too, in that case.

Thanks for the info. The necklace is very long not a choker.

    A FEW FINDS 001-001.JPG

Chinese vase and flower-ball bowl $60.
    A FEW FINDS 002-001.JPG

Overpaid for this unmarked teapot. Thought at first glance it was 18th/early-19th C. Chinese, but after a bit of research, I believe it's 18th/early-19th C. English. $100.
    A FEW FINDS 003-001.JPG

Small unknown bronze figure on wooden base. $3
    A FEW FINDS 004-001.JPG

These vintage Russian amber and gold cufflinks were only a $1. :D
    A FEW FINDS 005-001.JPG

These Chinese Republic (1912 - 1949) Period horses are stunning! I've never seen them in this large size (6 inches). They normally are found in 1 - 2 inch size. $15

    Hi Nuff,
Love those cuff links!!! I love your stand and chopsticks. I have the chop sticks in red. For some reason they are easier to use than the wood ones.

Your bronze figure is probably Hercules.

@Greg, thank you! If I'm not mistaken, those lacquer pieces date circa 1920s.

@More, thank you so much! I would have never guessed Hercules. From what little research I've done, it appears he's Etruscan made...

Also after a number of hours researching the teapot, it appears it's some type of exceedingly rare early-19th C. English smear-glazed stoneware made by Ridgway. This too I would have never guessed, my first thoughts were Chinese. So maybe we didn't overpay... cool!

    Hi Nuff,
The chop sticks maybe from the 20s, I bought them in a Chinese antiquites store in NYC in the early 70s. I think I paid 15 dollars for them.

Identical black and brown lacquered frames as well (our frame is in much better condition). I'm sure the value would be right around the same.

The reason for the high value is because of the high quality in which most were produced. Also, the company that produced these pieces was only in business for a short period of time before they closed down (from what I was told).

The one below (link) is the same subject matter, but the rendering is not as good as these two. If you look closely, you can see the differences in the deer, foliage, rockwork and calligraphy (sloppy and not as detailed). It only pulled $175, but that was 4 years ago. That same one might do a little better in today's market, but not as much as the two above.

@Komo and others, please disregard the above info as it was relayed to us by a local translator and not the translator who normally helps us. He was away on travels and finally replied (thank goodness!).

The reason for the high value is because of the quality and the artist: 'Wang Yijun (China, 1904 - 1989)'. Our piece is signed, sealed and dated by the artist.

A couple examples of his work can be seen below:
