    Sorry these are not antique-I won't cry if the thread is deleted but some of the photos in this gallery are quite amazing, and they are all real, no photoshopping was used.

    I have a question.
    I thought dogs went down with their handler, but in the one photo it looks like it is on it's own.
    Was he dropped? Or does he have his own shute. And if he does, who pulls the cord?
    (it's been really bothering me.)

    Good question-I dunno but looks like they are dropped low enough so their chutes are deployed right on leaving the plane if they are jumping solo. Troops would have to meet them on the ground to detach the chute unless something automatic has been developed. Here's some WWII footage-notice wagging tail in midair-that pup must like to do it.

    Now you can replace counting sheep jumping over the fence with counting doggies jumping out of airplanes!
