Introduction

Hello Everyone,

My name is John and live in Maine in the northeast USA. I'm a logistics and purchasing manager by trade. I've had a fascination with antiques since I was a youngster in the 60's and 70's. My Mother and Father were both born the year WWI ended so I've had exposure to the "way life used to be" for quite some time.

I'm a metal detecting enthusiast which helps out my coin collecting (at times). I have a small woodworking shop at my house which I enjoy tinkering and building things. I enjoy learning about antique furniture and the techniques that were used to make them.

I am an avid 60's and 70's Vinyl record enthusiast and have a store on EBAY. I can answer a few questions about vinyl records if anyone needs help (mostly rock, psych, garage).

I'd like to share what little expertise I have with others on this forum wherever and whenever I can.

Welcome! I was born to a pair of early Depression babies, so I get it. (hung with some WWII vets as a kid) Can't help with the 60s music; my parents didn't have me until 1966 and my dad could about handle Elvis. (his thing was march music!)
Had to learn 60s and 70s rock on my own later.
