Featured Identify Carnival Glass Design

Is there anyone out there who could identify this Carnival Glass Plate it is one of a set of seven, one large cake plate and six small cake plates.

I could be wrong, but I don't think that's considered Carnival.

But, please wait for the glass experts to be sure.

 

Carnival is another name for iridescent finish which has been sprayed on. Iridescent has the advantage of covering all glass US and internationally with that style finish. This plate is unfamiliar to me. Another recource is https://www.carnivalglassworldwide.com/

Looks like a 1950s iridescent glass set. A lot of people call this carnival glass but I don't.

I guess the information is correct, the large plate has two small round patches about 10mm across where it is clear. This may indicate that it is a spray finish and has wore away. The date of manufacture would be around the mid 1950's as I can remember the plates from when I was a small child. Thank again all.

 

Your plates looks very similar to the golden patterns of Zabkowice or Hortensja Glasswork from Poland. You can find more info about the golden patterns at https://www.carnivalglassworldwide.com/golden-treasures-part-three.html Months ago I found a similar pattern from Hortensja searching information about European carnival glass. This one is from the Hortensja 1936 catalog and is under the category of carnival glass. I founded it in a store website called Allegro (Poland) and they described it like an Ironed Raspberry Plate #36.
