You both wrote some very eloquent messages about him. My problem with writing a message is, first I had him on ignore for a long time, and now my brain and eyes skip over most of his messages and "ignore" him that way. So it would be difficult to write a specific message. I suppose I could write a general one, just with perceptions of how the AB has changed.

 

Don, I just wrote... I had more to say than I had thought!

Peter, Lithium has had the eBay boards since last July. Before that it was LiveWorld, who were better in some ways and worse in some ways. ... I know what you mean about the perspective...

I'll try to work on an avatar. I've never had one anywhere, so we'll have to wait and see how that goes.

I'm pushing 70 now and I'm trying to get rid of things rather than accumulate more, but I've always loved "the good old stuff" and enjoyed being around others who feel the same. When health and time allowed, I worked a few hours a week for a friend in her antiques shop and also worked as a cashier once a month at an auction house. Because of health and mobility issues, for the past few years I've had someone else sell for me on eBay, which has worked out well for both of us.

I've never collected any one thing, so I don't have depth of knowledge in any area, but I do know a bit about this, that, and the other thing. I will always help when I can, but compared to others here my attempts are pretty feeble. I do love research, though, and enjoy puzzles like the one *yourturntoloveit* presented on another thread (calling card).

Anyhow, this is a nice place and I was flattered to be invited to the party!

Hi Fig!! Yup, I just found his message on another thread. I'm still catching up.

The structure is a little confusing, but I'll get used to it.

 

I've been trying to remember to open a thread in a new tab when I want to read it. That seems to work for me. (But I didn't do it with this one.)

 

Heck, I have trouble even remembering my 40s. Although I do remember the 1940s... Hmmmm... A sign of old age for sure!
