Took a short visit to a thrift I haven't been to in a long time. Found this little vintage watercolour (7" x 4.5") for $2.50 CDN. It's a familiar view of Mt. Baker (Wash. State) from Vancouver Island. Artist signed, but pretty sure a Sunday afternoon painter created it. Name is A H Parker. Took it out of the old frame and acidic matting, but it's glued onto another acidic board. How should I separate it from the board?

I'll post a pic in a follow up. Have to find a way to resize the photo...I dont  my iPad in this instance.

Ditto here! It took quite a long time to figure out a way to resize on my iPad so that ** I ** knew what it was resizing to and to resize to the dimensions ** I ** wanted. I finally found a small no nothing **freebie** application to solve my problems - TouchUp Lite Photo Editor. When you save an image in this app, it lets you select width and/or height dimensions. I hardly ever do any graphic editing with it, but if I want to post a pic on a forum I run it/save it in this program with specific dimensions. I do most of my serious image editing on the desktop, but if on laptop usually edit with PS Express or ArtStudio. PS Express is a freebie that I bought addons for it. ArtStudio is not a freebie, but it allows you to custom resize to specific dimensions; however, I like PS Express editing options more.

Now if only I could find a way to name and/or rename images to my liking on the iPad I would be content.

LOL Susan! I got DD to fix it. I did look at the apps, but I'd rather have something like small, medium and large rather than inches or centimetres. Have to say that the photo editing on my pc was a lot better. I'm not used to this app business!

DD are certainly wonderful to have around, aren't they.

    >small, medium and large<

PicShop has those options: small, medium, large, ultra large, and custom. Custom allows the actual dimensions to be specified.

Gee, I'm glad I went through my graphic editing programs, for just realized there is a "Save As.." option in ArtStudio allowing one to name a file.

Mymysharona, did you mean an engorged on blood already tick or is there a separate kind of tick which is "fat" all the time?

Nice painting Wendy, hope you can get it off the board.
yourturn, I had to watch that clip even though I don't like ticks. I expected it would be squished at the end.
