What the heck are these things ? Anybody know what they are used for, to hold a candle or what .

    Thank You

I wonder if those are Christmas ornaments. I had some similar ones with tiny candles in them that could be clipped onto a tree.
Kinda hard to see the items precisely, but that is my guess.

Do they have clips, Billy? If, yes, their purpose is to clip candles to a Christmas tree. Not done (much) anymore for obvious reasons.

They're still made occasionally, but I don't think anyone lights the candles.

Fire hazard for sure, but I remember dancing around the Christmas tree with them lit! The candles were snuffed as soon as the dance was over!!:)

I think I have a few of these in a Christmas box. I wonder if they would sell.
Their condition is dusty and musty and the candles are bent a bit and not pristine.
Need to check any closed listings to see what is what.

Sweet! I use mine on feather trees with my older blown-glass ornaments and early wax angels. The antique figural candle clips can sell for quite a lot. https://tinyurl.com/y4x9gvd8 Yours are a bit later, and similar ones are being made today.

    Hi,
I use 40 to 50 of them on my tree. I used to light them but stood next to the tree with a fire extinguisher. Now I just use them as a decoration. When I take down the tree the candles go into a box and the holders into a another box. I have ten or so that are really old and use ivory candles in them. the others are a bright shiny brass and they get the white candles in them.

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

Nice reminiscences -- And some humorous ones! I've never used clips like these, so learned something here.
