"I wouldn't bother with it. Just sell it to someone for 'scrap' as it were,"
"I will offer it on FB and GumTree or such as a scrapper."

& just what price would you get for this as ' scrap '....
& what trouble moving it ?

If the damn thing is scrap to begin with.....I thought it might be an idea to sell off it's parts !!!
It was an honest question !
No need for ALL THE SHOUTING !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What I meant was, sell it at scrap-value to someone who can restore it. But even then, if he wants the best price for his scrap, he needs to include the keys! Nobody will pay good money for blank keys which they then have to pay to have re-covered because someone ripped off the ivory to sell it separately. If he's trying to make the best of a bad situation, then that's the action that'll give him the most favourable outcome. And I will type how I wish. It requires no extra comment.

Sometimes...as..like a car...the pieces separate are worth more than the whole, and easier to move...that's what I meant !

And as for using full caps...a lot.....sure go a head....knock yerself out !

but don't think for a bleedin minute that you can tell me what I can and can not comment on , on this site !!

Honey, you insisted on commenting on something that didn't require it. That's not my fault.

None of it is my fault. I post how I post. If you insist on commenting on it, you started the ball rolling. Not me. And why do you even care? It's not directed at you!

    I meant NOT, sorry. Typo.

People shout here all the time. Acquitaine did it in one of my threads just yesterday. And honestly, it doesn't bother me one bit, so I have no idea why it would bother anybody else...

My post that Komo is so upset about for reasons far beyond my comprehension, was to tell the OP that if he wants to sell his piano, then the best thing to do is sell it to a dealer or restorer, and that if he wants the best price for it, to keep it as INTACT as possible! That means the dealer can get more for it when THEY sell it or restore it, which will encourage them to pay HIM more for it! It's not that hard to figure out!

What you see as capitalizing for emphasis komo sees as shouting.

I capitalise because they're important points. Posts can be long. I'm not going to go through it and code every single piece I need to when capitalising is faster and easier and more noticeable.

Am I wrong..... all caps...used 20 times in one post.....

I was led to believe this was common knowledge and an accepted fact...........

If ALL CAPS means something else ....please someone let me know.....& I will be the first to apologize to Shangas !!!!!

    ( see Book...I'm tryin...)

I've never accepted that ALL CAPS specifically means shouting unless someone is actually having an argument. I've seen plenty of people here use ALL CAPS for all kinds of situations, usually to emphasize important points, or hell, even for the fun of it to make people laugh.

We'll leave it at that. But my advice stands. He can do with it whatever he likes.

Hey - as Shangas said - Aquitaine capitalizes things when she's excited - I think one has to read things in context.
