Maybe you should stay away from knives. It's okay. Journey is taking a bath.

Don't know what is causing this problem.

Last year there was a new poster and several members could not post to his thread including myself and Peter the site owner.

I don't think the mystery was ever solved.

That show is one of my all time favorites & still makes me laugh out loud. :D:D

Just so Pat won't feel so bad I am going to hijack the thread also. ;):happy::happy:

I went to the grocery store yesterday & as usual put on my perfume after I showered. I have been wearing Nina Ricci L'air du Temps for 40+ years since my sister bought me a bottle for my birthday. I have tried other fragrances over the years & always go back because everything else is too heavy of a fragrance for me.

I was standing in an aisle looking for something & a man walked by me. He stopped a few feet down the aisle, turned around to say "I don't know what perfume you are wearing, but it is okay" & gave me a thumbs up.:happy:

I told him the name of the perfume & thanked him. I know it may sound kind of creepy but I could tell he didn't mean anything by it other than he genuinely liked the fragrance. Besides this was not the first time a total stranger has told me the same thing.:rolleyes::rolleyes:

It smells like perfume/shampoo - I think it's real, but now I see not so rare! Thanks all.
PS - cluttered; no worries - in the scheme of life it's not a big deal! :)

Interesting -- I had never heard of the word "factice." And dictionary definitions that I can find online don't include this definition, either. There is an entry in the Oxford English Dictionary for "factice" but not the same meaning:
Any of several friable rubber-like substances made by vulcanizing unsaturated vegetable oils and used chiefly as compounding ingredients with rubber. Frequently with distinguishing word, as brown factice, white factice. Formerly also called rubber substitute.

But that is the only definition. The word is a borrowing from German, and based on the Latin factīcius (meaning artificial).

It's interesting that the OED never has caught up to this use of the word. They are usually up to date on almost everything.

    Hi,
I always used factice for those bottles. I had a friend present me with an old cologne which I thought was a factice but contained the real thing. It was a gallon size of my favorite cologne then.
I almost fainted since my cologne was about 80 dollars for 4 ounces. I still have the bottle. It was only made for one year I think, it was specially made for 10 people. It was a Christmas gift from some really wealthy Texan. How my friend got it was something that I never asked. I wrote to the company and found out it was specially made only one year but they never gave me the information of who ordered it. I wanted to bathe in it.:rolleyes::rolleyes:
