I have this round ad knife. On one of the blades is two names, one in block letters, the other cursive, but both are almost indecipherable because of rust. My goal is to identify the maker of the blades or somehow remove enough of the rust to read the names.

The block letters look something like RO_-___N. Maybe. I don't know. The closeup pic of that below was taken with my usb microscope, which clearly was of no real help.

The thing, to me, has an art deco look to it, but I couldn't find any reference to it online.

u have gentleman's cigar cutter w/ nail file.
the scratching means nothing to me.

We recently had an image of a woman & greyhound which was thought to be Art Deco ......& someone else posted a cutter like this ...but yours looks like an original advert for this company...used as a give a way.... so circa 1920's is my off the cuff take on it.
