Oooh, I hadn't thought about the back end of the runners. Hmm.

12k gold filled as is the chain they’re on, the jumper rings are soldered closed.

Yours is more of a cat sled - the cat rides, and the human servants push it. (Your pretty pale yellow tabby cat looks like he's got you obedience trained. ) Even if that's not a dog sled, it's still sinew and pegs and you'd pay a pile more for a new one made the same way.

It's a bit big for cats, almost 5 feet long. My Tigger has been gone over 10 years, miss him and the next two, Boots (black and white tuxedo cat) and Annie (a little darker tabby than Tigger). Now I've adopted 2 seniors, both 12 years old, Troy and Snickers. I'm not too worried about the sled, like I said, it's already spoken for at a good profit.

    Night everyone! Linda

The cats may disagree, but will probably prefer the bed/couch/chair/lap.

I went to an estate sale at too darned early this morning. Lined up at 8AM for a number and then they opened the doors a hair after 9. For once it was worth the effort, although the stairs may have done me some damage. My body doesn't like stairs.

OTOH, this is most of it. The goofy find of the day is a wood and plastic (?) souvenir pipe marked Quebec, Canada and Made in France. It's in the shape of a Jeep. I spent $58 and probably found that in scrap gold. The signet ring may not get scrapped; it's too cool a design. The cameo is pre-WWI and nobody's putting Baby in a corner; she may even be my birthday present to myself. The Nolan Miller brooches are in their original boxes. The thistles are almost all Mizpah brand costume. The rhinestones are unmarked except for one marked Austria and the watches are all gold-filled. There's some scrap silver too.

Similar, but this is a souvenir piece and not one of those fancy things. The carving isn't on the same level.

    Awesome bounty, Evelyb.

Sometimes it does pay off to get in line early. ;)

Great finds all around! Love seeing the pics!

Would expect a sharp tip to spear the olive, onion, cherry, etc. - doesn't make sense to me to hook a sharp object in your pocket. They're not uncommon, often found in the original boxed sets of 6. 8 or 12...

Got some interesting medical advertising tins at an auction today. Going to look great when I combine them with my existing collection!

I love the tins! I have a small collection of them and love them! But I won't spend much on them and also have very little space to display. Still, I have about 30-35.

Here is one pic, of the coffee and tea tins.

Very nice! Love the graphics on the one on the left.

I'm slowing building up a variety of old advertising tins.

Thanks! I've always loved old tins. I'm glad somebody else loves them, too.
