Featured Beautiful Belt Buckle

hi all!
I brought this buckle online ($15 ) - just because I liked the look of it. Its lovely from the front and from the back it just makes me feel that it's probably modern. I'm sure it's not silver and it has a slight copper colour to it (it was sold as a metal buckle... so I'm not complaining - I imagine that the scratches on the back are from someone testing the metal ) Along with its style and its makers' mark - I believe that it was either made or influenced by the south-western artists. I think its lovely and will probably use it as a large pendant! Anyone have any ideas where is from (please don't say a factory in China! Lol - I do like to buy things if I get a "feeling" so there is no knowledge behind my buy )

 

Very nice for $15!
It has a ca 1900 Scandinavian feel. The position of the brackets is for a rather loose belt with the buckle hanging in a slight V-shape.
The cabochons look like glass.

thank for all the info! I too wish I had a waist like that! even a thigh of that size would be good too! now I am determined to find out more - and put off turning it a pendant for a while!
