You haven't. As inh noted in the Benally thread, this has been going on a lot lately.

@JTR I understood it to mean: you have a camera so it would be reasonable to assume you are used to taking photos. So could we please see some more (signature, back, other details), so we can help you. That's all.

 

As a general note, and follow-up on what inh said in the other thread, I have no idea what is going on on the forum lately. Most members are true gems, generous and supporting, and I love them for it. But there has been so much senseless agression lately, that really saddens me.

 

It occurred to me that it could be a group trying to disrupt the board .. wouldn't work though as we have such strong members here .. Joy.

 

I have an idea....that folks in general today are quick to get defensive at anything they consider to be a slight, or anything that does not coincide with their agenda , ie....here's my item....answer my questions ... that's all I want from you.
Plus....the anonymity of lashing out....... no consequences...!

They are also quick to consider something to be a slight.

I agree. I think this may be how forums devolve. A few bad apples push away the rest, as people tire of negativity and sarcasm. Shutting people like this down is one of our best defenses. Our @daveydempsey is another - this guy doesn't need to be exiled - perhaps he can learn from his missteps. I've seen others wade through their disappointments and learn to treat the members with courtesy and respect.

 

It has a 1950's/60s vibe to me. I don't think the scene is military.

As for the rest: misunderstandings happen. There are more tactful ways to handle them than I've seen on these boards lately. Reprimands are not necessary where clarification would do.

 

PLUS, they wouldn't last very long around here.........if they don't self-extricate, they get extricated.....

 

It looks a bit like a) a painting of a vaguely Mediterranean coastline; b) not military at all; and c) factory art. Sorry, but it has all the earmarks.

That appears to be one of Helmut Fuegel's signatures - I have some of his paintings and the bio in the send post matches his history.
