yep had many over the years, mostly gold plated
I bought a little lump of jewels earlier this week, nothing spectacular, but I do like the rolled gold fob slider and a couple of white gold earrings/posts, hopefully diamond earrings for my granddaughter who just lost one, the little rose earring is gold. Paid a bit more than I usually do but few sales this holiday week
rough unsigned Haskell like earrings, cute enamel jewels, the key chain is some kind of carved stone. Haskell also made some similar pins to the little wooden pin with wood beads, probably not but a girl can hope. I think the amber looking ring is costume, to be determined

There is a sale 3 miles up on my street tomorrow, add says eclectic jewelry...hmmm wonder what that means, opening time 6 am? bet they'd freak if I showed up that early

Check that jade bracelet very carefully. I have one, bought new in Hong Kong, which is 18 ct gold. Not a marking on it. The amber looks to be reconstituted. I do like that silly saguaro brooch.

Thanks, Sharona! It's masterfully enameled. Some very nice jools you have there as always.

@Fig, thank you! Isn't she lovely? It was framed in a very ugly later 1980s frame, so I guess no one thought it was on older work of art. One of his better sketches I think.

Nuff, love the vase and the pastel! is the vase marked?

Will post finds in a bit, but does anyone know how to get rust off of bronze, by any chance?

    Bronze does not rust

Muriatic/hydrochloric acid (Lime Away) will take it off but will also remove any patina

    Hi,
Bronze does get some oxidation which some people call rust. Soak in cheap olive oil for several days sometimes takes longer but it will not remove the patina. Just do not rub it off, if it does not come off by rinsing it needs a longer soak.

Thanks greg and terry! I think it might be just dirt, actually! It was in an attic. Here it is....signed Japanese bronze basket weave charger with koi

I also bought some kind of Old Master-ish drawing, not sure of the age of it. It's pen and ink. Looks Italian to me but I welcome everyone's thoughts. I might start a separate thread about it. It's on laid paper

Asian gouache on silk, can anyone read the signature/seal? I can't tell if it's Chinese or Japanese. Fairly large.

    Oh , Moon....that G I Joe is killer !
In the early 60's I was in a TV commercial for GI Joe.....but it was used for French Quebec TV....& I never found out if it was aired.

See the ammo box next to his leg.....it's the only thing I have left of my swag....& would take me a week to find it !!

Moon, it looks like scuba gear sitting with Joe there....
You may need some research to find what original gear came in that type of box.

I'm seeing a collection of mismatched items.

Thanks komokwa, cxgirk and tyedye! komokwa, have you ever searched youtube for the commercial....I'm sure it's out there somewhere. How cool would that be to see it? I have no idea about the accessories, or even what it's worth. I think i read one time that old GI joe was in demand, but it seems like Ebay is flooded with it?

komokwa The Truth is out there...!

I've looked for it but only found the 64 debut USA commercial.
Just like I remembered ....playing in a sand lot with many toys and another kid.
    But it's not me, & I don't remember speaking.

Sure eBay has lots, but your box is unusual and the scuba tanks could be flame thrower tanks.....and the paper work.....so you may have items in demand.
    Just saying...

@leWiste that vase is very cool! Does it stand up on the spikes?

No, the spikes are only the top.

You guys find the most interesting things! Congratulations, all. Sharonna, great find on the ram, you had me going with the April Fools joke. I couldn't wait to read your next thread. Nuff Said, I love that Chinese vase, and the spiked glasswork, so cool. I went treasure hunting Thursday, found a pearl Mikimoto cross sold as costume. Happy Easter!
