my daughter gave her 2 week notice yesterday at work so she calls today and said They took her picture off the wall took her badge and walked her to the door (high security) I fell hook line and sinker

 

Did your daughter call the cops too.

 

No komokwa it was a joke but he is cautious and a bit senile, I'm sure all gold buyers are to some degree...on this one he was nervous, I will have no problem selling it
Aparently the young lady at the sale didn't know, which is how we all score from time to time...I wasnt sure till I got to the jeweler

That vase is beautiful, most Asian items I find are Japanese, on the look out for Chinese...harder to find it seems

 

He's too old and senile to get mad at, although Iv known him most of my life I am fairly certain he must have onset alzheimer's
I think he recognizes me most of the time, but sometimes I feel like he doesn't even remember me from recent visits....I also mean he had his business next to my dad for years, they knew each other well, and he has no clue who he was

The wife scheduled her car to be fixed at 9:30 this morning

She has to work, I get to take it in

Most of the sales here start at 9:00

So I go to the sale late, after the car is done

I was in time to see many of the sold piles

I missed a lot

This watch case was still for sale for $4.00

It seems Helmick fell out of love with the giver and scratched out the 14K inbetween WARRANTED and TO ASSAY

My find of the day got away. I was at a moving sale and found a biggie with crocheted pieces in it and some little glass bits in bubble wrap. I took them to the lady running things and asked about the price of the bag. "I was looking for these!" And away they went. Swarovski crystal figurines. (sigh)
