I get a plastic feeling from many of the surfaces. The tight close up is blurry, but edges look ragged to me, not like molded material. And not sure how to reconcile these areas with plastic:

I don't think it was made in a mold, I think it's cut out of a sheet and slumped (warm glass term, but best I can think of)... and I think heat was probably used in the embellishments application, also.

If you're going to do all that, you might as well cut it out of already curved MOP.

It's perplexing. If cut from plastic why such jagged edges? If not, how are pearls applied? Pix raise more questions than they answer. If I had it in hand, I would understand much better.

The red area circled looks like the shape was cut out with a very fine hack saw. They went in then backed out, probably they meant to round it out like the other indents but forgot.

This may be made of nylon, that pearly look is often nylon.

Or pearlized lucite. Lucite can be cut that way and sometimes is. That was my first thought.

    It looks bejazzled. :)

Are the smaller "jewels" actually little blobs of metal applied to the surface of the piece? Or are they embedded into the surface somehow? The pictures of the back of the piece don't seem to show anything coming through from them. (Look at the stem of the leaf.) Maybe the method of attachment of those would be a clue?

This is the back, the 'jewels' are like little studs:

Thank you, AJ. I'm actually talking about the small dotted things that are smaller than the rhinestones. For example, on the front I see them all down the front of the leaf stem. The back of the stem shows nothing.

I see, you're right, there are smaller things which don't show on the back. Glued on maybe?
