It's not marked, sure could be, seemed a little different, has a tiny bit of patina on the back, likely not very old though

I found a few cool old pens too, 2 of them have issues the first and third. The first is rotten on one end, third one missing the top
Neat little Eversharp and a blue Esterbrook and a parker, I love old pens, their hard to find around here and I missed one at the garage sale...forgot it

The little pewter wolf cup is cool. Popular right now too. I sold 2 sets of them last year. They did well.

I don't think that black pen ever had a cap, per se. It went into one of those alabaster or metal desk stands with the "cap" built into the stand or stuck in a hole. They were still making them well into the 60s and maybe into the 70s, although I think by then most were ballpoints.

    Hi,
I hit a sale on Monday seems they sold the house and have to be out by Wed. I have a few questions. The book is a diary from 1937, while thumbing through it I found three stamps (my neighbor is using my Scott's) any idea of worth?? Little sugar bowl has a mark on the bottom, I have not looked for it yet. The two tiny people are lead, I guess from a train looks 1920s by her dress. The two spoons are silverplate and mailed from the 1939 World's Fair in NY. The two Stangl trays have me befuddled. I know they are Sun Pebbles but the shape and the large indent I can not find in my cataloges. Any ideas? They are 9" by 4½" the indent is 3" too big for a cup.

    Hi,
Looking at the stamps, the first one has all of it's perforations scan is washing it out, the second one has a straight side after the thin black line on it's right side but ll of it's perforations also.

The Stangl plates look like they held gravy boats. I can't see Stangl making something to hold shrimp cocktails.

As for the stamps, they were out of some kid's collection; you can see the old glue marks on the back from the "hinges" - bits of glassine with glue on them. I don't think they're highly valuable, but they're fun.

    Hi Evelyb,
I was thinking underplate for gravy but Sun Pebbles gravy had a flat bottom at least in the catalog and nothing in this shape. Everything was round.

People who collect only one type of thing have it easy as far as displaying their collection. When you collect all kinds of random stuff, ahem eclectic treasures, it's harder to figure out how to display it all. Makes the house look cluttered.
