    Hello everyone x x x
Is this just a decoration? No idea what it would be for. It's neither fish nor fowl, and just cannot think of a reason for it to exist. (I did post it on the eBay boards a while ago and no one knew what it was then either )

No idea, but it is nice.
Maybe just decorative, in a bowl with nuts and pinecones?

Hi BJ. Intriguing. I have no idea unless it was meant to be a decorative top / finial for something? It seems to have paint remnants on it. I found these in a gift store in the UK and they look similar but by no means am I saying yours is giftware. They didn't identify them as anything in particular either except 'decorative'.

Just saw this, looks most like this out of all the ones I have seen: were ones like mine maybe inspired by these ?
These are titled antique capet balls. The two at back look like mine, so perhaps mine was inspired by something like this?

Edited to make less mess but seem to have made it worse

I just love him. Always been by my side though he didn't even know I existed!
All my faves are now gone...Ian Curtis from Joy Division, my Dave and now Pete Shelley from Buzzcocks. I did manage to see Buzzcocks once though, life changing experience.
I don't remember being alive when Ian C died, so that doesn't sting but man, Shelley and my Dave really does. Like my entire life was built on sand!
Just hope it's a long long while before anything happens to Siouxsie, Kate Bush, Debbie Harry, John Lydon , Bryan Ferry x x

TERRIBLE QUALITY but here I finally, finally got to see my fave band ever. I did not take my eyes off Pete Shelley for a second . He managed to slide his off my manic gaze temporarily but it was soon back on again. They tagged me in their FB post the next day , saying it was *great* to see me at the very front, singing all the words :D think they may have been a little worried that I was one of those mad fans ( I s'pose I am a bit) but they were never in any danger :p

Not sure about the Isolar reference? :)

I saw Bowie in St. Louis, MO USA in 1976 on the Station to Station tour. And yes, he did do 'TVC 15.' The Thin White Duke!

I later saw him in Kansas City on the tour when they recorded the 'Stage' album. A big band, with Carlos Alomar conducting 'Warzawa' without Bowie....He initially refused to come to Kansas City because only a couple of hundred people turned out for Ziggy Stardust, and he held a grudge.

I had tickets for Joy Division's first U.S. tour. I still remember where I was when I heard Ian died. Kind of like "where were you when John Lennon died..." I just saw Peter Hook doing Joy Division a couple of years ago. Still a great show.

Saw PIL about 5 years ago and met Lydon afterwards. Under-attended but he did stuff from all phases of PIL's career. Love the early stuff!

Never saw the Buzzcocks, but my 70s punk band did 'What Do I Get?' back when it was new. I was really more of a Magazine guy.

(Isolar was the name of the STS tour,in Europe anyway...maybe it had a different name for the US leg?)

I have confessiion: TVC 15 is one of my least fave Dave songs. Just never grabbed me. BUT I LOVE STATION TO STATION with an utter pash. Have it tattooed on my arm...I find it hard to choose a fave Dave song but I think Rock n Roll Suicide would be it, if I absolutely had to xx
BUT I 'dore STS as I have said ( many times :O ) and Right from Young Americans...omg and not forgetting Sweet Thing/Candidate/Sweet Thing from Diamond Dogs.I am in fact a fully fledged Dave ho.

God if you still had the actual paper ticket for the US tour that JD never did, that would be worth a fortune? I have heard Peel announce Ian's death on youtube a few times , I get the Atmosphere ( hehe ) from even that. And the first time he played Dead Souls. That is my fave non Dave song ever actually.

I am not overly keen on Magazine, in fact I'd quite like to punch Devoto's shiny head and I am a pacifist. Buzzcocks ( there is no *the* , I tell the intawebs weekly :p ) reunited with the original line up to do Spiral Scratch in about '12 and he was being so edgy, he almost ruined it. Not a fan of his but Magazine did do some amazing songs. I only saw in on The Tube of You though, sadly I wasn't actually there

I love PIL. I love The Pistols more though I wish they'd not reunited. My hub saw em in '96 and they weren't too bad then but they have degenerated now into an emarassing mess. His voice is no good for the Pistols any more but works great for PIL imo xxxx

    Width of a Circle
    All the Madmen
    Bewlay Brothers
    Hang on to Yourself
    Bombers
Rock n' Roll Suicide (about the only Ziggy-era song I never saw him do)
    Time
    Cracked Actor
Chant of the Ever-Circling Skeletal Family
    Sweet Thing
When You Rock and Roll with Me

    Heroes
    Warszawa
    Sound and Vision
    Breaking Glass
    Ashes to Ashes
    It's no Game
    Never Let Me Down
All the Young Dudes (Mott the Hoople's version)
    Hallo Spaceboy
I Have Not Been to Oxford Town
    No Control
    Black Star

    Elton Jaundice. Jeez:wacky:

I knew a guy who saw the Pistols in Oklahoma on their 70s tour. He said it was awful, and that Sid was an idiot that couldn't play. He had to drive for hours to get there, and was disappointed. Still, how many people in the U.S. can even say they saw them?

Lydon's got nothing good to say about the Pistols now. He certainly did no Pistols tunes on that tour a few years ago.
