Featured carved religious vignettes/icons

    r there any markings
    they may be religious ...they may not.

    polychrome wood. best I have of the back. don't think that's a date, the other is numbered 2450 I think. they're from the estate of a collector of antiques all over the place so no real context. I'm in Georgia.

    The one with the lone woman seems to say 1901 on the front. Maybe Year?

    Religious panels, an angel, and the Holy Family with an angel.
    They look like Spanish or Italian folk carving. The angel could also be French.

    The sides can’t be seen. Possibly evidence if each were the central panel of a triptych?

    My knee jerk was Spanish,they are lovely. Id have snatched them in a second.

    don't know why but my first identification for them would be polish/ eastern european

    Maybe from those Polish folk carvings with the big heads?
    Seems to be another European folk thing, Spanish carve big-headed figurines too.;)

    Santos? The folk carving looks right, although santos usually feature individuals rather than vignettes.
