    any ideas of German maker?
    not a good necklace but it's cute.. yes that is a felt heart.. and

    I'm with evelyb, pretty recent, but cute.
    This edelweiss is different from the Swiss tourism logo edelweiss, btw, and the necklace style and clasp are much later than 1960s.

    Edelweiss jewellery has been made in all Alpine regions for a long time, even more so since tourism started in the 19th century.
    Part of Bavaria, Germany, is Alpine, and they also make edelweiss jewellery. So I think the necklace and pendant came together, and are both German made. Any time between the 1990s and now. You'll probably never find the maker.

    I don't think the maker of the necklace will be important if you are selling it. I'm guessing it was made for the tourist market.

    Almost certainly. Edelweis souvenir jewelry has been made for at least 60 years that I know of. It could go back further.
