    Hi,
I have had this vase for over 20yrs. It is 8" high a light jadite coloring and a really rough bottom scar. Any idea of who made it and when???

I was going to say Fenton, until I saw the bottom.
Maybe something early 1900s. Just a guess

    Hi Pat,
I thought it was Fenton when I bought it, when I got home and washed it and saw the bottom I knew it was not. Now after years I am still puzzled.

    Maybe Vallerysthal Glass?

It is probably a Vallerysthal Portieux glass vase.

    Hi Skeezix,
The only Vallerysthal that I have had were those minature candlesticks.

Hi Skeezix & Fenton & Pat
Having looked at a pile of their vases none of which showed the bottom:mad: I want to thank you for sending me in that direction. I just wonder how old it really is?

    Hi,
Thanks for the info. Westmoreland may have copied the design but if you check out the bottom, my vase is defintely not Westmoreland. I wonder if the original sale had photos of the bottom? Again my thanks but no cigar.

If you click on the link below the picture, it will take you to the original listing. There's not much info or any references to support their attribution. Here is a picture of the base.

tow different molds for these 2 vases. The blue one has a marie base which a snap ring was attached to to hold the hot glass while the top was attached and the green does not not have the marie so it was attached to a pontile rod for finishing. I am guessing that the blue is the newer of the two and possibly a different maker.
