I have used Terapeak for at least 7 years now. It shows the previous year of listings, so slightly more relevant than what Worthpoint usually shows you.

However, Terry is correct in that the sale might not have been completed, so you should not rely on just a couple of listings.

It is helpful when you are out & the eBay site is not showing any results. It has kept me from buying many items that were not really worth messing with & helped me decide to buy something that I would not have thought about.

Full disclosure, Terapeak is owned by eBay as is Worthpoint. So no matter which one you would choose, you have to keep some skepticism regarding the results.

Thanks for the replies, you've been a big help. I won't be subscribing to WorthPoint based on your reviews.

Will take a look at Terapeak, as I haven't actually came across that one

Went to the thrift store today and, since money is obviously for throwing away, bought something.

An art glass whale - 7 1/2" long, polished bottom, no signature.

Oooh! Ruthie like! I'd have snagged that too, for similar reasons. Whoever didn't sign that ought to be spanked.

Speaking of finding stuff, I found this in a Bargain Hunt episode - check out the interlude thing about 20 miniutes in. I want to find these bits in a shoebox walking in my door too!

    cxgirl, nice birdie.
I have my parents singing bird in a cage here. Haven't played it in years. Needs a proper dusting too, which no doubt I will put off for as long as possible.

    Edited to add
just double checked mine and it has 2 birds. Goes to show how much I really look at it. LOL

    Not antique but quite good.

A 1950's child's wardrobe from the latest clearance.

It was locked and I had to find a key.

It contained a complete boxed 1950's Triang Arkitex construction toy.

That Arkitex kit looks fab! I'd have wanted that as a kid, but then I spent a lot of summers building my dad's model railroad buildings.

I picked up this lot at the local GW earlier this week. I had been there for a while but decided to hang out to see if the lady would bring out anymore stuff. She came out with a loaded cart & I was standing right next to her as she carried this lot to the shelf.

I about got whiplash when I saw the blue crossed swords on the bottom of the cup. :jawdrop::jawdrop::jawdrop::jawdrop:

I think it sat on the shelf for literally 1 second before I scooped it up.:smuggrin::smuggrin:

The 4 pieces in the front are all Meissen. The 2 on the right are marked Wien Austria. The shell shaped dish is Limoges & The coaster is Royal Worcester.:cool:

Not a bad haul for $2.21 with my senior discount.:rolleyes::rolleyes: :D:D:D:D

davey, is that original paint on the wardrobe, or did someone do a clever job on it?
