That's disappointing. I was hoping for a real find.

All I can tell you is that there's a lack of crispness in moulded things. Yours is well done, but it's missing a sort of flair and energy. Oh dear, that sounds horribly pretentious.

Seems to me that if it's boxwood, it would seem light and would float in water. Most of the resin things I've had have seemed heavy for their size and would almost certainly sink.

Hi moreotherstuff, and thanks. It seems very light and does not at all feel like any sort of plastic to me. It really feels like a nut (to me). I guess it's like they said, a really good copy. But one day I hope to find someone to look at it in person and feel it. Also, maybe one day, I will be able to feel a real boxwood one, to be able to tell the difference. Do you think I should try to float it on water?
Thanks OBB, I do agree there is a difference in quality of the details, and thank you so much, and LOL you're not pretentious!:joyful:

No. Don't try to float it. No reason to get it unnecessarily wet. Your idea about finding a knowledgeable person to give it a hands-on inspection is best.

Based on the responses of the knowledgeable people to whom you have shown the photos, you should expect it to be a copy, but looking for an on-hands confirmation couldn't hurt.
